A young Nigerian lady named Esedere Onome has graduated from the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Nigeria as a Medical Doctor after studying for 9 straight years in medical school.

Esedere Onome earned her Medicine and Surgery (MB: BS) degree from the University’s College of Medicine after 9 years instead of the normal academic timeline of 6 years due to several challenges.

Onome took to her Twitter page to celebrate her achievement, stating that she has satisfied her examiners after 9 years of medical school. She bagged the degree with a total of five distinctions in her major courses.

The courses she earned distinctions in are Pharmacology, Mental Health, Optic Nerve Glioma, Paediatrics, and Community Medicine. She expressed her excitement about finally becoming a medical doctor.

”So I satisfied my examiners after 9 years of medical school. Finally a Doctor.Distinction in Pharmacology, Distinction in Mental Health, Distinction in OnG, Distinction in Paediatrics, Distinction in Community Medicine. Goodbye Uniben Medical School,” she tweeted.

Onome said she is happy to finally graduate from Medical School after nine long years stating that the degree took a toll on her, and she is genuinely excited to complete it.
