A young lady named Aderonke Ige has won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study for her master’s degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies(SOAS) in the United Kingdom.

Aderonke Ige is a Nigerian lady who bagged her bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Benin, Nigeria. She has earned the exceptional feat of winning a Chevening full scholarship to study for her master’s.

Aderonke shared her achievement on Linkedin celebrating her win of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship for her masters. She stated that she will be studying a master’s degree in Development Studies at the SOAS University of London.

She mentioned that she is excited about the opportunity as it would help her fulfill the passion she has nurtured. Aderonke said her early childhood experiences, stories from her parents, and the community helped to manifest her life choices and career path.

Aderonke said her experiences influenced her decision to be determined and effectively equipped to use her education and skills to make a difference in the lives of those who needed it most.

She mentioned that her passion for transformative change and human rights pushed her to found the “Help Initiative for Social Justice and Humanitarian Development”, a platform for bridging gaps and giving back.

She stated that the Chevening Awards will give her the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals from around the world who are driven by a commitment to positive changes in their community and on a global scale.

Aderonke expressed her gratitude to the Chevening Awards for the opportunity noting that she is honored to be one of the 44 scholars chosen from Nigeria out of the 70,930 applications from 160 countries they received.
