A video that has been circulating online features Toyin Abraham expressing her frustrations with the 20-year-long struggle of Lagosians under the leadership of a particular political party in the state. The actress expressed her anger towards the government for not fulfilling their responsibilities to the state, while sending their own children abroad for safety. She also alleged that the government in power had been transferring public funds into their personal accounts and using the masses to further their own selfish motives.

The movie was reportedly filmed some years ago and has sparked a lot of discussion about Toyin Abraham’s “double standard” in supporting the ruling party, despite her role in the movie.

Despite this, Toyin Abraham had previously expressed her support for the ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos State and had hoped they would win the 2023 elections. The party has been in power for over a decade, and the actress’s statements in the movie reflect the frustrations of many people in the state.
