A kind Nigerian man put smiles on the face of a little boy after he offered to offset the school fees the young boy owed.

Smith Akôm Takema, from Benue state, Nigeria, narrated on Facebook how he met an out-of-school boy at a restaurant in Gboko.

The unnamed primary 5 pupil at Prison Primary School Gboko was at the restaurant where Smith went to eat. He was there sourcing donations for the Sunday school development of a church.

When Smith asked the boy why he was not in class during school hours, the kid revealed that he was chased out because he had yet to pay his fees.

Smith Akôm raised some money to settle the boy’s school fees while urging parents to be careful and not allow their kids to become professional beggars at such an early age.

“I have raised the fees and I am going there first thing to pay the fees so he can resume his studies. Parents should be mindful and don’t let their children go around to beg money in a professional way like this, the church should rather identify kids with financial difficulties to sponsor,” he said.
