An exceptional Nigerian man named Destiny Ogedegbe has gained admission into two prestigious universities including Harvard University in the United States and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom for his Master of Law degree.

Not only did Destiny got admitted into the highly competitive universities, he was also awarded several scholarships to pursue his Master of Law (LLM) program. Expressing his delight on LinkedIn, Destiny noted that he is one of the only four Nigerians accepted by Harvard University.

“I’m one of four (4) Nigerians admitted this year to the Harvard Law School LLM Programme — the most competitive law programme in the world — on a scholarship,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

Destiny started his higher academic studies at the University of Benin, South-South Nigeria where he graduated with an outstanding first-class degree in Law and was also the best graduating student. He proceed to Law School and also bagged a first-class.

Narrating how he was able to secure Master’s admission and scholarships into the two tough universities, Destiny said; “I tell this story and add that these are the only two schools I have ever applied to for graduate studies and I got into both.”

“That it happened this way, tells me something. They both did the right thing, I suspect, because this story is already written in the stars —this is merely the mortal manifestation of God’s ideal. I have no other explanation,” he added.

Destiny however stated that out of the universities – Harvard University and the University of Oxford – he has decided to attend Harvard University Law School and has now arrived in Massachusetts, United States.

“Today, I woke up in Boston, Massachusetts. I’ll be undertaking my LLM Programme at the Harvard Law School for the next year with focus on Corporate & Project Finance. God is writing a meaningful biography on my behalf — this is my favorite chapter yet — and I’ll come back to tell you how this ends,” he said.

He thanked everyone that supported his journey right from the beginning. “I have amazing sponsors, mentors and friends around me. I love and appreciate them all. Can I forget how immensely supportive they have been to me? Certainly not, not in this lifetime of promise and pleasant surprises,” Destiny said.
